Little Haven’s is their nursing-led hospice that’s dedicated to caring for young people up to the age of 25 and their families.

 

They also have their In Patient Units and , Fair Havens Hub which offers a wide range of therapies, treatments, workshops and activities.

St Nicholas Hospice Care, or St Nic’s for short, supports people in west Suffolk and the Thetford area who are living with long-term and life-limiting illnesses.

 

From their inpatient ward to community nursing team, from the physio and occupational therapy specialists to chaplaincy and community volunteers, St Nic’s make sure you are supported every step of the way.

St Elizabeth Hospice is there for people living with progressive and life-limiting illnesses; offering expert care and support to help patients and their families.

 

They have a Young Persons branch called Zest which provides young adults with challenging conditions the opportunity to meet and have fun with friends and enjoy life to the fullest. Zest services include:

 

Short Breaks - for 2-3 young adults, for 2 nights, offering 4 weekends a year per adult

Zest Days - dedicated nurse-led specialist day service provision for those 18+, Fridays 10am-4pm

Zest X-Change - monthly evening social group for patients which may be the only social interaction they can safely access without parents or caregivers

Regular clinical reviews - access to the hospice multi-disciplinary team

A parent support group - a lifeline for families to share their experiences

Monthly Saturday whole family drop in session - as we know that everyone needs support

Transition coordination support - as they move from children’s hospice care to adult services

St Helena

St Helena Hospice provides specialist care to people facing incurable illness in north east Essex; supporting them, their families, friends and carers.

 

Over 90% of their patients are supported in their home; a service known as ‘Hospice in the Home’ which includes:

 

SinglePoint - a 24/7 advice, support and care coordination hub. The SinglePoint team can make an assessment over the phone, or visit if necessary, and help you access the support you need when you need it. Find out more about SinglePoint.

Virtual Ward provides personal care and support at home to people in the last weeks of life and their families. Find out more about Virtual Ward.

Community clinical nurse specialists (CNS) or other community services can visit you at home to provide support when pain or symptoms are proving difficult to control or if there are complex needs.

Counsellors, family support, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants can also visit to provide additional emotional, practical and spiritual advice.

 

St Helena are also provide care at their hospice.

 

Set in beautiful grounds in Highwoods, Colchester, the hospice provides homely, comfortable accommodation in a mix of four-bedded bays and single rooms with en-suite facilities. Whilst there are limited facilities for families to stay, the team make every effort to accommodate visitors comfortably.
