Under the Health Act 2009 and NHS (Quality Accounts) Regulations 2010 there is a new requirement for EACH to submit a Quality Account to the Secretary of State for Health. Quality Accounts are an annual statement from healthcare providers designed to demonstrate an organisation’s approach to on-going quality improvement.
Gender pay report
As is the case within the charity sector as a whole, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices employs significantly more women than men. This, along with nursing and other higher paid roles being typically female professions, largely explains the differences in our pay.
We do however, and will continue to, monitor and review our processes in relation to all staff development, pay and reward matters, to ensure we maintain a fair and non-discriminatory approach.
