Mark Dyke

Mark has been a doctor for over 40 years, qualifying from the University of Bristol in 1982. After postgraduate training posts in the UK and Australia, he has been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since 1995.

Alongside clinical responsibilities, predominantly as Lead for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, he has held a number of leadership roles locally, including Clinical Director for Paediatrics, Divisional CD for Women's and Children's Services and Associate Medical Director. At regional level, he chaired the East Anglia Paediatric Development Group for five years and most recently was the inaugural Clinical Lead for the East of England Network for Neonatal services.

He served on the Council of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a number of sub-committees involved in education, training, support for medical managers and financial oversight. He has held a Professorial appointment at St George's International School of Medicine and acted as their Director of Medical Education locally. He was a recognised teacher for the UEA Medical School and Educational Supervisor for countless Paediatric trainees over his career.

Outside of work, he is currently trying to learn Italian (with limited success!) and undertaking gardening duties under close spousal supervision!
