“All our discussions were so positive. Everyone was blown away and grateful for the opportunity to find out more” – information evening for care professionals features interactive skill stations, displays and stands

Care professionals came together to find out more about the work of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The invite-only information evening featured interactive skill stations, displays and stands and took place at The Nook, in Framingham Earl.

Staff were on hand to talk about their roles and it followed hot on the heels of similarly successful events at EACH’s Cambridgeshire and Suffolk bases.

Thirty-two people attended, including a dozen student nurses, and areas covered included long-term ventilation, clinical education and wellbeing and spiritual care.

EACH’s Help at Home volunteering department was also represented and those that came along were given a guided tour of The Nook.

“Everyone seemed impressed by what they saw and heard,” said EACH Locality Wellbeing and Spiritual Care Lead Michelle Attrill.

“There were enquiries about preceptorships, student placements, volunteering and fundraising, with requests for a repeat event.

“All our discussions were so positive. Everyone was blown away and grateful for the opportunity to find out more.

“There was also a huge sense of pride emanating from the team here, when speaking about their roles and the work EACH does. It was genuinely heartwarming.”
