Business representatives came together for a special gathering in the picturesque grounds of Helmingham Hall.
The event was for members of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ (EACH) Business Circle and held during Children’s Hospice Week.
It was hosted by EACH Ambassadors Edward and Sophie Tollemache at Helmingham Hall, which has been in the family since the 16th Century.
Billie Nugent, EACH’s Senior Corporate Fundraiser for Suffolk and East Essex, said: “It was a perfect evening and we’re so grateful to Edward and Sophie.
“They couldn’t have been better hosts, making a lovely speech to welcome everyone to their beautiful home.
“The weather was kind and we were pleased to host one of our Business Circle events during Children’s Hospice Week.
“It’s such an important time in terms of raising awareness of the work we do and our members were keen to find out more.
“In addition, as well as enjoying a relaxed, informal evening of networking, everyone was given a guided tour with the head gardener and his deputy.
“Helmingham Hall is the most stunning, idyllic location and it was great to find out more about how the gardens are kept in such pristine condition.”
Guests were able to soak up the atmosphere while enjoying canapes provided by Wright’s Café and sponsored by law firm Birketts.
Edward said it was a pleasure to host the event.
“It’s a real privilege to be involved and become EACH Ambassadors,” he said.
“Sophie and I feel passionately about this great charity and are full of admiration for the work it does, caring for children and supporting families.
“It was a real honour to be able to host this wonderful event and we look forward to helping again in the future.”
The Business Circle – a corporate venture open to companies across East Anglia – launched during last year’s Children’s Hospice Week.
Members have the chance to build connections and attend events, while at the same time making a financial commitment to EACH.
The cost to join is £1,000 a year, including VAT, and membership includes the chance to visit one of EACH’s hospices.
