“It was great to be surrounded by passionate professionals from around the world, to share learning and discuss the future of paediatric palliative care” – Lucy, Laura and David attend the Maruzza International Congress in Rome

Staff from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) shared their expertise and had the chance to discuss paediatric palliative care during a special gathering in Italy.

Lucy Brumpton, Laura Berrill and David Vickers joined colleagues from care services across the East of England at the seventh Maruzza International Congress in Rome.

They also contributed to insightful posters that were on display.

“It was great to be surrounded by passionate professionals in the field of palliative care from around the world,” said Clinical Nurse Specialist Laura.

“It gave us an opportunity to share learning and discuss the future of paediatric palliative care, and we look forward to feeding this information back to our colleagues at EACH.”

David is EACH’s Medical Director, while Lucy is the Head of Care Transformation and Development.

David added: “The conference allowed us to learn from colleagues across the world and to share EACH’s amazing work. We get better when we learn from each other.”
