Artist Lucy Loveheart is lending her support to ensure a charity shop celebrates its fifth birthday in style.
The East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) store in Cromer marks its special anniversary next Friday (31st May).
Various activities are being planned, including a ‘find the cake’ competition, free books for children, sweets, treats and balloons.
There will also be a tombola and the team are being joined by EACH Ambassador Lucy, who will promoting her new seaside-themed range of tea towels, mugs and exclusive prints and cards. Proceeds will go to the charity.
Norfolk-based Lucy, who has also provided items for a raffle, has previously donated artwork and designs for stationary, giftware and Bags for Life that are sold exclusively in EACH shops.
“We can’t wait to welcome her to our beautiful shop,” said Cromer Shop Manager Roxanne Goff, who has been working there since it opened in May 2019.
“She’s a great supporter and her new range is stunning.
“It should be a fun day and busy week, given that it’s fallen in half-term.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating our fifth birthday and proud of everything that’s been achieved in that time.
“We’ve grown and grown and one of the keys to our success has been the brilliant and dedicated team of volunteers.
“It’s been the same group since we reopened after lockdown and having that continuity has helped so much.
“It’s a happy camp and I couldn’t be more grateful to them for giving their time and working so hard.”
Lucy described it as a great honour to be an EACH Ambassador.
She said: “It gives me the chance to use my art to help raise much-needed funds and I’m excited to have been given this wonderful opportunity at Cromer.
“I’m excited to be part of the shop’s birthday celebrations and will always do what I can to help, especially if it shines a light on the incredible work being done to help so many families in our region.”
