Partygoers have the chance to pull on their glad rags and dance the night away at a celebration ball.
The glitzy event is being organised by Pymoor Stockmans Club in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
It is taking place at The Lady Chapel of Ely Cathedral on 14th June, starting with a drinks reception and canapes under the prestigious Octagon.
Guests will then be invited into The Lady Chapel for their gourmet meal, followed by speeches, a raffle and live music from Captain Scarlet.
Pymoor Stockmans Club organises charity balls every two years to raise funds for good causes in the area.
“We chose EACH this year because we want to support the extensive, world-class care it provides, including a comprehensive range of services to support both bereaved and non-bereaved families,” said organiser Keri Whitwell.
“Lisa and David Radcliffe, who are family friends, will be our guest speakers on the night, sharing the story of their son, George, who was three years old when he was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, in May 2022.
“Sadly, George died in October 2023, and both he and his family received incredible care and support from EACH at Milton. Lisa and David continue to be supported as they navigate life without George, learn to live alongside their grief and find joy.
“It should be a very special night and we’ve sold a number of tickets already.
“We’re also in need of sponsors, so would love to hear from any individuals or businesses interested in supporting us and helping us raise as much as possible for this wonderful cause.”
Pymoor Stockmans Club is a friendly, non-profit organisation promoting good stockmanship. Tickets for its celebration ball cost £90 and can be bought by emailing pymoorsc@outlook.com or ringing Keri on 07702 876077.
