“They’re fun, family-friendly and a great way to engage with the public, helping raise awareness of our fantastic charity” – free Easter Egg-stravaganzas are taking place at The Nook and The Treehouse

Visitors have the chance to hunt for chocolate, enjoy live music and a petting zoo during two community events hosted by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The free Easter Egg-stravaganzas are taking place at The Nook, near Norwich, and The Treehouse, in Ipswich.

The Nook event is taking place between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, 12th April.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will also be stalls, refreshments, live music and face-painting.

Limited parking is available on-site, but visitors are encouraged to consider walking if possible. Anyone who drives is asked to keep the family spaces in front of the hospice clear for service-users. The hospice grounds are wheelchair-friendly.

The Treehouse Egg-stravaganza, meanwhile, is taking place between 11am and 2pm on Sunday, 13th April.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be stalls, activities, refreshments and a petting zoo.

The hospice is located near the southern end of Bixley Road, off St Augustine’s Gardens. Parking for the event is across the road and signposted, a short walk across Bixley Road and into St Augustine’s Gardens.

Parking on-site is reserved for staff and service users, so visitors are asked to use the public car park.

The Treehouse grounds are wheelchair-friendly, with flat, even surfaces, although there are some gentle inclines around the gardens.

To register for The Treehouse event, head here.

“We always look forward to hosting events of this nature, giving visitors a chance to spend time at our hospices and enjoy their beautiful grounds,” said EACH’s Community Fundraising Manager, Tina Burdett.

“They’re fun, family-friendly and a great way to engage with the public, helping raise awareness of our fantastic charity.

“We can’t wait and look forward to welcoming as many visitors as possible.”
