Generous visitors to a popular farm enjoyed a striking sea of sunflowers while raising more than £1,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The special event was hosted by Ha Ha Farm, in the rolling patchwork countryside of Strumpshaw, near Norwich.
Proceeds from the sales of sunflowers on 7th August went to EACH, which cares for children and supports families across Norfolk and the rest of East Anglia.
There were also collection buckets and fundraising activities, and the total raised was a magnificent £1,053.
EACH Senior Community Fundraiser Ellie Miller recently visited the farm to collect a giant cheque from Jo Wright, who set up the popular wedding and events venue with husband Tom in 2019.
Ellie said: “Jo and Tom are incredibly supportive, and it was so kind of them to host this special day.
“They kindly gave me some sunflowers when I visited for the cheque presentation, and I took them back to go on display at The Nook.
“They looked absolutely beautiful at our recent memory day at our hospice.”
Jo said: “We’re delighted to do whatever we can to support EACH.
“It’s a special charity, and, crucially, it’s local, helping people right here in the heart of our community.
“That’s important to us, and we know the money we raise will be spent wisely.”
