A dedicated volunteer is using her musical talent to help raise vital funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Frances Wyatt is hosting ‘An evening of music for two pianos’ at the West Road Concert Hall, in Cambridge.
Pianist Frances is being joined by Ivan Garford, and the programme for the evening includes John Adams’ Hallelujah Junction, Gustav Holst’s Jupiter from the Planets and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 2 and Symphonic Dances.
Tickets cost £15, and the concert is taking place on Thursday, 31st October, from 7.30pm.
Frances was among the first cohort of Help at Home volunteers at EACH’s Milton hospice, having signed up in 2017.
“In the past, I’ve done sewing tasks for the hospice, as well as a one-off gardening project. I also help at events and do talks to local groups about the work of EACH,” said Frances, who lives in Three Holes, a village between Ely and Wisbech.
“This concert gives me the opportunity to hopefully raise funds, while doing the thing I love most – playing the piano. It’s a win-win, I think!
“There will be some great music, and it’s a very good cause. It should be a fantastic night.”
Refreshments will be available, and, in addition to profits from ticket sales, there will be a bucket collection for EACH.
