A dozen youngsters got creative during a fun-packed sibling day at The Nook.
The event was organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) for children who are either bereaved or have a brother or sister receiving care. They were aged between five and 14.
The day involved arts and crafts, including making junk models, sock puppets and producing a cardboard castle.
They also enjoyed a popular treasure hunt around the grounds of the hospice.
“It was a lovely day,” said EACH Play Specialist Heidi Foster.
“The children enjoyed spending time together, having fun and making new friends.
“They supported each other throughout and the castle was made by two who had only just met, so a great example of co-operation and sharing.
“We’ve had some very positive feedback and are already looking forward to our next sibling day, during the Easter holiday.”
The children also took part in a therapeutic activity and parents and carers joined in for the last part of the afternoon.
