“The main thing is everyone enjoyed each other’s company, and, as ever on these days, it was lovely to see friendships grow and new connections being made” – siblings are on the fast track to fun during a full-throttle karting experience

Speedy siblings revved into action for a high-octane go-karting experience.

The trip to Ellough Park race circuit, near Beccles, was organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) for children who are either bereaved or have a brother or sister receiving care at The Nook.

It was for youngsters aged ten and over and saw them take to the track for three blocks of 15 minutes.

“It was a brilliant experience, and everyone had an amazing time,” said Clare Oakley, EACH’s Groups and Events Co-ordinator at The Nook.

“It was great to see the siblings’ confidence grow, and, in terms of their driving skills, they got better every time they went out on the track.

“That meant the levels of competition rose, but all in a great and friendly spirit.

“The main thing is everyone enjoyed each other’s company, and, as ever on these days, it was lovely to see friendships grow and new connections being made.

“That’s what an event of this nature is all about, and, judging from the feedback since, both the youngsters and their families had a fun-filled afternoon.”

The visit took place on Sunday, 13th July.
