Santa Claus is taking time out from his busy schedule to meet young customers at a popular charity shop in Colchester.
His eagerly awaited visit will be the highlight of a special festive celebration at the city’s East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) shop.
There will also be singing and dancing, in-store activities and a lucky dip and raffle, while young bookworms are invited to pick up a new holiday read thanks to EACH’s Free Books for Kids scheme.
The High Street shop’s festive celebrations will take place between 12pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, December 20.
“It’s been another fantastic year, and we’re incredibly grateful to our customers for their support and loyalty,” said shop manager Sammy Mauldin.
“Every donation and purchase helps us continue our vital work, and this celebration is a way of saying thank you. We can’t wait to enjoy the festive season together.”
Sammy and deputy manager Sue Baker will be joined by the shop’s ‘amazing’ team of volunteers.
“Christmas seems the perfect time to recognise their dedication and hard work and say a heartfelt thank you,” said Sue.
“Their kindness, energy and commitment keeps our shop running, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.”
