Parents and carers being supported by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) enjoyed a relaxing, confidence-boosting morning of make-up tutorials and beauty tips during a special event hosted by Clarins at John Lewis, in Norwich.
Guests were welcomed with refreshments before taking part in personalised sessions led by three Clarins experts, who took time to get to know each person and their individual needs before introducing products and techniques.
Attendees were shown how to use different brushes and beauty products, while being given the opportunity to ask questions and receive tailored advice. Each person also received a bag of goodies to take home.
The two-hour session featured demonstrations, advice and pampering and took place within a screened-off area in the department store.
“It was such a lovely morning, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it,” said Clare Oakley, EACH’s Groups and Events Co-ordinator at The Nook.
“The Clarins team were fantastic and created such a warm, personal atmosphere. They took the time to get to know everyone and help them feel comfortable and relaxed.
“It’s so important for parents and carers to have opportunities like this, where they can focus on themselves for a change and enjoy being pampered, rather than always having to worry about everyone else.
“It gave everyone the chance to be themselves, embrace their own needs and enjoy some well-deserved time out.”
Six parents and carers attended on 8th May. There was also a raffle, with the lucky winner receiving a range of Clarins products.
“We all enjoyed hosting this event and working with such a great charity,” said Debra Chandler, Business Manager at John Lewis, Norwich.
“Families are welcome any time, either for a repeat of what they experienced the other day or they can book to have a one-to-one with a member of our team.”
