Green-fingered fundraisers opened their gardens to the public and raised more than £4,500 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The colourful community event was organised by The Nook Friends group and featured 14 locations across Poringland, Framingham Earl and Stoke Holy Cross.
Visitors were able to buy and follow a trail to explore them all, with the final total raised being an impressive £4,684.
The weekend also featured plant stalls, refreshments and a raffle, with prizes including hampers, wine and gift vouchers.
Organiser Jane Hewer said: “We were very pleased with the result.
“After a disappointing month weatherwise in May, the first weekend of June was completely dry and mainly sunny, particularly on the Sunday.
“I can’t thank the other gardeners enough for taking part, plus the two art studios and crafters for displaying their work.
“My thanks also go to everyone who helped in some way, whether selling programmes and plants, providing raffle prizes or baking.
“And, of course, we were so grateful to all the visitors who came along and supported us. Without them, we couldn’t have raised such an amazing sum.”
The popular event was taking place for the first time since 2019.
EACH Community Fundraiser Megan-Louise Kemp said: “It sounds like a fantastic event and one that raised a phenomenal amount of money.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who went along and enjoyed the weekend, as well as our wonderful Nook Friends group.
“They do such an amazing job of supporting us, raising funds and awareness for a charity that is clearly close to their hearts. We really are indebted.”
