A trio of influential business leaders are joining forces to help raise vital funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Noel Byrne, Mark Burton and Richard Brame are heading up the charity’s new Corporate Champions initiative, becoming ambassadors for EACH in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk respectively.
Noel is Chief Executive of Newmarket’s Bedford Lodge Hotel and Spa, Mark is Managing Director of Norwich-based MCB Financial Services and Richard is Managing Director and Head of WTW GB Bill to Cash, in Ipswich.
All three have agreed to become voluntary champions for EACH, helping strengthen connections within their business communities and identify new opportunities for long-term partnerships.
They plan to use their professional networks, influence and experience to raise awareness of the charity and help open doors to new relationships.
“We’re excited to launch our Corporate Champions programme and create a network of influential business leaders who are passionate about making a difference for local children and families,” said Hannah Forbester, EACH’s Corporate Fundraising Manager.
“They will work alongside our corporate fundraising team, helping build meaningful relationships and connect with organisations that share our values and commitment to making a positive impact.
“This is about much more than fundraising, though. It’s about bringing people together, creating opportunities and developing partnerships that will support our work for years to come.”
Noel, Mark and Richard will act as trusted advocates within their business communities, attend networking events and help to introduce the charity to key decision-makers.
They will also provide valuable insight into business trends and opportunities, helping identify organisations that could become long-term partners.
Each appointment will initially last for two years, and there are ambitions to expand the programme into Essex.
“Our corporate supporters are much more than donors,” added Hannah.
“They’re advocates, ambassadors and partners who help us extend our reach and ensure families receive the vital care and support they need.
“We know there’s enormous potential within the business community to help more families access the care and support they need.
“By combining the expertise of our corporate fundraising team with the knowledge, connections and influence of our Corporate Champions, we can build stronger partnerships, reach new audiences and create sustainable support that benefits children and families across East Anglia.”
The charity previously launched its Business Circle during Children’s Hospice Week in June 2023. The team are always keen to hear from more companies interested in supporting EACH, which has hospices in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. For more information, email corporate@each.org.uk
