“Every repair we complete not only helps keep homes safe and secure but also supports families facing incredibly difficult circumstances” – Mr Misty is extending its campaign so customers can continue to support EACH

A family-run business specialising in window and door repairs is giving customers the chance to keep raising funds for charity after extending the terms of its popular ‘Repair with a Purpose’ scheme.

The initiative was set up earlier this year by Mr Misty, pledging to donate £2 from every job booked during the first quarter of 2026 to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

It proved so popular that the company, which serves homeowners across Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Chelmsford and surrounding areas of Suffolk and Essex, has already raised more than £1,200.

Now, due to the campaign’s success, it has decided to extend the terms until the end of June.

“The response to ‘Repair with a Purpose’ has been fantastic,” said Mr Misty owner Joshua Sheppard.

“Our customers like the idea that something as simple as booking a repair can also make a meaningful difference.

“Because of that support, we’ve decided to extend the campaign for another three months, and it really shows the power of community.

“Every repair job we complete not only helps keep homes safe and secure but also supports families facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Extending the campaign felt like the natural next step.”

Mr Misty provides reliable repairs and installations for windows, doors, locks and glazing.

Customers who book a service during the extended campaign period will continue to contribute to the fundraising effort automatically, at no extra cost.

‘Repair with a Purpose’ was originally launched to coincide with Random Acts of Kindness Day on 17th February, with donations backdated to 1st January.

Anna Bruce, EACH’s Senior Corporate Fundraiser for Suffolk and Essex, said: “We’re delighted to have the support of Mr Misty.

“It’s been amazing to work with the team, and everyone here is so grateful to have them as a corporate partner.

“We rely so heavily on donations and support from the public, only receiving around 15% of our funding from statutory sources. That’s why initiatives of this nature, working with businesses across our region, can make such a profound difference.

“Partnerships like this don’t just help us financially – they also help raise awareness of the services we provide and the families we support.

“Every pound raised helps ensure children and their families can access the care and support they need, when they need it most.”
