Mud-splattered families tackled obstacles galore and helped raise more than £47,500 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Over 1,430 fun-loving participants signed up for The Piglet, Junior Hog, held at Wantisden Hall, near Woodbridge.
The popular event, returning for the fifth time, featured a host of wet and muddy obstacles and was open to everyone aged eight and over.
Families set off in various waves, and the four-kilometre course included crawling through tunnels, splashing into muddy water and clambering over hay bales.
Becky Redbond, EACH’s Events Fundraising Manager, said: “It was another huge success, and the total raised so far is sitting on £47,500.
“That figure will continue to grow, as sponsorship money comes in, and we couldn’t be more delighted to raise such a magnificent amount.
“It’ll make such a difference to our vital work, and we’re so grateful to everyone who signed up and took part.
“It’s amazing how this event has grown. It’s got bigger and bigger and families love it.
“It’s such fun and something everyone can get involved in, regardless of age or ability.
“There’s nothing quite like it in the area, and the fact so many people come back year after year speaks volumes.
“We’re so grateful, and I must thank all my colleagues and our loyal volunteers – more than 40 of whom gave up their time to make this event such a success.”
A date has been set for next year’s Piglet event – Sunday, 12th July – and mega early-bird tickets can be bought now by heading here. They cost £18 for adults (16+) and £14 for children aged eight to 15.
