Supporters from the charity Greenfingers were left impressed after spending time in East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ (EACH) tranquil Rest and Reflect Garden, at The Nook.
The stunning outdoor facility officially opened last year and features a curved pathway, leading to a relaxing seating space. It provides a sensory experience and contains a mix of colours, leaf shapes, textures and scents.
Work on The Rest and Reflect Garden, funded by Greenfingers and its supporters, was completed in December 2023, and representatives from the charity recently came back to hear more about the impact it has made on children and families receiving care and support from EACH.
“It was such a lovely and successful meeting and great we had such a glorious day for it,” said Caroline Allen, EACH’s Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
“Everyone was impressed with the way the gardens are looking, and Louise Gower, our Service Manager, spoke about the positive impact it has had on the children and families receiving care and support, as well as our team here at The Nook.
“It’s such a calming space and source of tranquillity for all who experience it – a place where people can come and reflect, away from the busy care floor.
“We remain so grateful to Greenfingers and its partners for giving us this special garden.”
In addition to the Rest and Reflect Garden, EACH also opened an eye-catching new playground at The Nook in 2023.
