“From talking to potential new supporters to connecting with existing ones, the exposure we gained and relationships built will hopefully have a lasting impact” – Royal Norfolk Show visitors help raise £1,806 for EACH

Generous visitors to this year’s Royal Norfolk Show helped raise a fantastic £1,806 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The charity had a stand on both days of the showpiece event, with staff and volunteers enjoying the opportunity to chat with passers-by.

They also sold tickets for a raffle and tombola, with many businesses, family and friends donating vouchers for prizes.

Senior Community Fundraiser Natasha Butler said: “The money has now been counted, and we were delighted to raise as much as we did.

“We’re grateful for everyone’s generous support across the two days.

“It was a great success, and I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved, both from within our organisation and the wider public.

“It really was a team effort, and, aside from the fundraising element, what stood out for me were the many meaningful conversations we had.

“From talking to potential new supporters to connecting with existing ones, the exposure we gained and relationships built will hopefully have a lasting impact.

“Hopefully it opens doors to more support and partnerships in the future.”

The Royal Norfolk Show is the largest two-day agricultural show in the country, with 700 trade stands, over 3,000 animals and a packed Grand Ring programme.

It took place at the Royal Norfolk Showground on 25th and 26th June.

EACH has three hospices, including The Nook, in nearby Framingham Earl.
