Family members receiving support from a leading children’s hospice took a well-earned breather while enjoying a relaxing pamper evening.
The soothing session was organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and hosted by Lush Cosmetics Norwich.
Mums, dads and an auntie took part and were shown how to make their own comforter bubble bars and ‘love letter’ bath bombs.
They also had the opportunity to have hand and arm massages and consultations with a member of the Lush team.
Refreshments were provided and everyone left with a goody bag full of relaxing treats, including a massage bar.
“We were joined by a lovely mix of family members, both bereaved and non-bereaved,” said EACH Play Specialist Clare Oakley.
“It gave them a golden opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy some escapism from their normal, busy lives.
“They had time for themselves, without feeling guilty, and were able to chat and forge new friendships and contacts.
“Everyone seemed to love it and a huge thank you goes to the brilliant staff from Lush.”
The shop was closed to the public so those taking part had the chance to browse and buy gifts without other customers around.
Clare was joined by Nikki Ross (pictured), who was helping in her new role as a volunteer, having previously been Groups and Events Co-ordinator at The Nook.
It is hoped to organise more pamper evenings later in the year.
This one took place in Lush’s Chantry Place Shopping Centre premises on Friday, 1st March.
