“It’s a great opportunity for everyone to unwind, connect and join in with something together, as well as interacting with others” – families relax during a castles and dragons-themed lullaby night

Children enjoyed bedtime stories, music and meditation during a soothing lullaby night organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The online, early-evening session was open to families receiving support from all three of the charity’s bases – The Treehouse, in Ipswich, The Nook, near Norwich, and Milton, near Cambridge.

Others were able to join in from home and hospital and the gathering included a welcome song, gentle and soothing music, a bedtime story, calming activities and a goodnight song.

It was run by EACH Play Specialist Hailey Allen and Music Therapist Ray Travasso.

“The aim of these sessions is to offer a calm, relaxing end to a busy day,” said Ray.

“Every time, we choose a theme and this time it was castles and dragons.

“It’s a great opportunity for everyone to unwind, connect and join in with something together, as well as interacting with others.”

The lullaby night took place on 25th April.
