“We’re grateful to have such outstanding support and hope both the runners and organisers are looking forward to what promises to be a very special occasion” – EACH is the charity partner for this year’s Ipswich Twilight 10k

Runners are lacing up their trainers for the tenth edition of an iconic road race – while also raising vital funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The streets will once again come alive with energy and excitement when the town celebrates a decade of the Ipswich Twilight 10k.

EACH is again this year’s charity partner, and the popular event is being supported by long-standing partners Ensors.

“Once again, we’re grateful to have such outstanding support and hope both the runners and organisers are looking forward to what promises to be a very special occasion,” said Tina Burdett, EACH’s Community Fundraising Manager.

“From our point of view, backing of this nature makes such an incredible difference, in terms of helping us continue our vital work.

“We rely on public support and were thrilled when we found out the organisers were renewing their partnership with us.

“We wish everyone involved the very best of luck, both with their running and fundraising.”

The Ipswich Twilight 10k has become one of Suffolk’s most iconic and best-loved running events and this year’s edition is taking place on 18th July.

As ever, hundreds of runners will lace up their trainers and be cheered on by enthusiastic crowds armed with banners, bells and whistles, ready to support friends, family and fellow residents.

David Scrivener, Partner at Ensors’ Ipswich office, said: “This event has grown into something truly special for Ipswich – bringing people together, creating a brilliant atmosphere and showcasing the town at its best. It’s a joy to be involved again, and I’m looking forward to running alongside many of my Ensors colleagues.”

The race starts at 7.30pm outside Ipswich Town Football Club, with runners following a dynamic route that winds through the town centre – taking in key landmarks such as the Corn Exchange, the Town Hall and the iconic Willis Building.

The finish line awaits on the practice pitch at Portman Road, where the event village will be buzzing with activity.

Families and spectators can enjoy sponsor stalls, refreshments, a medal podium and more. Water will be available along the route and at the finish.

Adding to the evening’s excitement are two additional races – The Schools’ Daily Mile (invitation-only) at 6.30pm and the ever-popular 2k family wave at 6.50pm.
