“The end result will hopefully be a beautiful display and moving symbol of remembrance and love” – customers have the chance to write touching tributes thanks to EACH’s Christmas memory tree in Frinton

Customers at a popular charity shop have the chance to remember loved ones during a poignant festive fundraiser.

From the start of December, a Christmas memory tree will be taking pride of place at the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) shop in Connaught Avenue, Frinton.

Shoppers have the opportunity to buy a star for £1, which they can decorate and hang from one of the branches in memory of a family member or friend.

“Our memory tree is a wonderful way for people to come together, remember someone special and support an important cause at the same time,” said shop manager Emma Manning.

“Every message and every star will represent a story, and we’re inviting all customers and members of our community to take part.

“The end result will hopefully be a beautiful display and moving symbol of remembrance and love.”

Shoppers will also have the chance to pause and reflect as they read heartfelt messages shared by others, and the proceeds of every star sold will directly benefit children and families receiving care and support from EACH.

EACH’s Frinton shop will be staying open until 8pm as part of Frinton’s late-night shopping event on Saturday, 6th December.

Meanwhile, Emma is always keen to hear from more people interesting in volunteering, especially during the afternoon and at weekends.
