“We had such a special morning, and it was great seeing everyone get to know each other and build relationships” – wreath-making activity is the highlight of a festive gathering for bereaved family members

Creative family members remembered their loved ones while making stunning Christmas wreaths during a poignant coffee morning at The Nook.

The session was organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) with support from Hempnall florist Helen Manning.

Twenty-five people took part as bereaved families came together and enjoyed a morning of connection and creativity.

“We had such a special morning, with families very much enjoying our wreath-making activity,” said Locality Wellbeing Lead Jodi Goldsmith.

“It was great to see them get to know each other and build relationships.

“Helen was a fantastic support, and everyone also enjoyed refreshments and delicious mince pies together.”

The event was supported by The Nook’s wellbeing team and took place on Tuesday, 9th December.

“Families were able to spend quality time together, remembering and sharing their children while engaging in Christmas wreath-making,” said EACH counsellor Andrew Jaggard.

“It really was a very lovely morning.”
