“What better way to gear up for the festive season than by jumping 13,000 feet from a plane and soaring through the sky dressed as Santa?” – brave fundraisers can sign up for an exhilarating festive challenge in Peterborough

Fearless fundraisers with a head for heights are being invited to take on an extra-special festive feat for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The charity is organising its first ‘Santa Skydive’ at Sibson Aerodrome, in Peterborough, on Saturday, 29th November.

Thrill-seeking participants will have the chance to don a Santa costume as they take the plunge, and all money raised will go to EACH, which provides vital care and support for children and families across East Anglia, including Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Tina Burdett, EACH’s Community Fundraising Manager, said: “What better way to gear up for the festive season than by jumping 13,000 feet from a plane and soaring through the sky dressed as Santa?

“It certainly puts a whole new spin on the expression ‘festive jumpers’.

“It promises to be a very memorable, exhilarating day and a golden opportunity to tick something special off your bucket list, as well as being a key part of #TeamEACH.

“To secure a place and sign up for this thrill of a lifetime, we’re asking for a £50 deposit and commitment to raise at least £395.

“In return, providing that target is reached, we’ll cover the full cost of a tandem skydive – and provide the Santa suit!

“Self-funding a jump is also possible and costs £230, and anyone choosing that option will still be encouraged to fundraise.

“Anyone in need of more information or additional support is welcome to drop us a line via [email protected]. We’ll do our very best to help and advise on the best way to support our fantastic charity, while having fun at the same time.”

EACH has three hospices, including one at Milton, and provides care for Peterborough-based children like Zak and Jada-Lea.
