“By finding new homes for items that might otherwise be sent for rag recycling, we’re reducing waste and maximising the value of the donations we receive” – EACH is hosting a summer jumble sale at Long Stratton

Customers have the chance to pick up bargains while supporting a more sustainable approach to shopping at a summer jumble sale hosted by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).

The event is taking place outside the charity’s Long Stratton shop from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, 12th July.

It will feature a wide range of pre-loved items, including clothing, bric-a-brac, books, toys, CDs and DVDs.

Everything will be available at bargain prices, and visitors will also be able to enjoy sweet treats from a cake stall.

The sale has been organised to help clear excess donated stock, giving quality items a second chance to be used and enjoyed while preventing them from being sent for rag recycling.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for people to pick up some real bargains while supporting a good cause,” said shop manager Rachael Fretter.

“We’ll have plenty of clothing, books, toys and household items available, and we’re looking forward to welcoming shoppers from across the community.

“Events like this also play an important role in terms of sustainability.

“By finding new homes for items that might otherwise be sent for rag recycling, we’re extending the life of donated goods, reducing waste and maximising the value of the generous donations we receive.

“Everyone is welcome to attend, and every purchase helps support our vital work caring for children and families across East Anglia.”

The Long Stratton shop is one of 57 EACH stores across East Anglia and 22 in Norfolk.
