“Events of this nature give us a wonderful opportunity to spread the word and raise awareness within the local community” – staff and volunteers fly the flag for EACH at the Cambridgeshire County Show

Staff and volunteers from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) made valuable new connections during a successful day at the Cambridgeshire County Show.

Representatives from the charity attended the popular event on Saturday, welcoming a steady stream of visitors to their stall throughout the day.

Among the most popular attractions were two raffles and a ‘Guess the Name of the Dragon’ competition, which proved a hit with showgoers.

The event also provided opportunities to build new relationships, including a conversation with the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, Francis Burkitt DL.

“It was fantastic to have so many meaningful conversations throughout the day,” said Victoria Goldsmith, EACH’s Senior Community Fundraiser for Cambridgeshire.

“Events of this nature give us a wonderful opportunity to spread the word and raise awareness within the local community, and we were delighted by the interest people showed in our work. We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by for a chat.”

The Cambridgeshire County Show took place on Saturday and was held in Abbots Ripton, just north of Huntingdon.
