East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is proud to have achieved national recognition after being recognised as a Disability Confident Committed Employer.
The government accreditation highlights its dedication to removing barriers and championing an inclusive, accessible environment.
“It’s essential our workplace reflects the values we advocate and further recognition of the work we’re doing to demonstrate a commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI),” said EACH Director of People and Deputy Chief Executive Nicky Kendrick.
“Becoming a Disability Confident Committed Employer highlights that our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible, while also anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments where needed.
“It also underlines our commitment to communicating and promoting vacancies, offering interviews to disabled people who meet essential criteria and supporting an existing employee who acquires a disability or long-term health condition.”
EACH is committed to keep reviewing the way it recruits, retains and develops disabled employees.
“This is an important milestone, and, moving forward, we’ll continue to develop our recruitment practices with a focus on accessibility and inclusion,” added Nicky.
“In particular, we’re now working towards implementing Anonymised Recruitment and a Disability Confident Interview initiative.”
