As the Purchasing Coordinator at East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), you will play a crucial role in managing the organisation’s purchasing processes, ensuring that all activities align with EACH’s values and objectives.This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to lead purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the charity’s operations.If you are detail-oriented, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and have a strong background in purchasing, we would love to hear from you.Are you: An experienced purchasing professional with a passion for ensuring value for money and high-quality service? A highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage complex contracts and supplier relationships? A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to support the broader organisational goals?Do you have: Relevant experience in purchasing or procurement? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to sudden demands? Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to draft reports, negotiate contracts, and build effective relationships with suppliers?Responsibilities include: Managing the end-to-end purchasing process, including complex contract negotiations and ensuring alignment with EACH’s strategic goals, including net-zero objectives. Providing high-quality administrative support to the Head of Facilities and Director of Finance, including data analysis and maintaining effective filing systems. Supervising the Purchasing Assistant and overseeing the approved contractor and supplier approval process. Maintaining and reviewing a facilities contract register to ensure optimal terms and value for money. Experience in digital communications, specialising in social media. First class writing skills to develop and curate creative and engaging content to work across multi-channel social media platforms. The analytical skills and insight required to deliver successful campaigns to support the full marketing mixResponsibilities include: Preparation and posting of all social media content. Increase engagement with our audience across all social media platforms. Monitor, report and evaluate all social media activity. Research and monitor emerging social media tools. Retail Shop Manager (Relief) - Internally titled Retail Relief & Support ManagerCovering East Anglia - (Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire) including: Shops covered by role include – applicants should ideally be situated in a location to be able to regularly travel to the following; Cambridge St Ives Huntingdon Ely Soham Royston Working Pattern: 5 days over a 7 day week{If fixed pattern please confirm working days required, for example Monday to Wednesday.}Salary: £25,266 per annum + mileage reimbursement*Full UK Driving License and own transport - essential criteria for this role*Want to see what it is like to be a part of our Retail team at EACH? Able to work on your own initiative and problem solve.Do you have: Previous retail experience - charity shop experience is preferred but not essential. Hands-on approach and the ability to motivate a team of volunteers. Experience of maximising sales & generating income.Responsibilities include: Co-ordinate volunteer effort to ensure that the shops maximise their turnover whilst minimising costs. Ensure that volunteers are well informed and motivated so that they can develop to their individual potential. Maintain a high standard of display, presentation and cleanliness throughout the shops. Manage and undertake the sorting, moving and storage of a high volume of donated goods. Ensure that all monies are banked, and financial returns completed on a weekly basis. Responsibility for all aspects of security – stock, premises, money (retail income and cash donations) and volunteers / staff.
