The magnificent retired racehorse ‘Man of Promise’ is set to visit Milton hospice! All our welcome to come along for a meet and greet – 2pm-3:30pm.
Man of Promise is a nine-year-old gelding and epitomises the ethos of Godolphin’s Lifetime Care programme. Trained in Newmarket by Charlie Appleby, he won several races over sprinting distances and travelled to Dubai to race where he was also successful at a high level. Â
Now residing at Godolphin’s re-homing yard on the outskirts of Newmarket, he has begun his second career as a flagbearer for Godolphin Lifetime Care. He spends time now greeting pupils at Newmarket Academy as they began their time at secondary school, meeting hundreds of members of the public as part of the Henry Cecil Open Weekend or bringing special moments of respite with visits to elderly patients at Newmarket Hospital.
Please note this is not a public event, it is open to all families who access EACH services at Milton.
