Wakey wakey, rise and shine. It’s Norwich Theatre’s pantomime!
Norwich Theatre Royal are offering tickets to their relaxed performance of Sleeping Beauty on Friday 5th January at 10:30am.
Please note, unfortunately these tickets are not suitable for wheelchair users. The theatre can provide seating for anyone that is able to transfer though.
Relaxed performance information
Relaxed performances are open to everyone, but particularly appropriate for anyone who may find the usual theatre environment challenging, be that due to an Autism Spectrum Condition, a learning disability, or a fear of the dark, loud noises or confined spaces. To support with this, technical changes are made to the performance – this includes quieter music, reducing loud or surprising sound effects and avoiding strobe lighting. The auditorium lights remain on throughout and people are allowed to enter and leave freely. We also leave some seats and rows empty to give everyone a little more room!
For our relaxed performance of Sleeping Beauty there will be a ‘chill-out’ area in the theatre to visit if the experience becomes overwhelming. We’ll also have a RevoLOOution vehicle on site that’s designed for individuals who require either a changing bench and/or hoist or where more space for wheelchair users to access the toilet is needed. (See further info attached)
