Bereavement support
We believe that having support available when you need it helps families to cope during the more difficult times. A child’s close relationships may reach beyond the immediate family. We therefore aim to provide support to those who may be significantly impacted by this loss.
Who can access bereavement support?
At EACH we have a team of trained and experienced wellbeing professionals. Every family situation is different, so we aim to support your family according to your individual circumstances.
Support can be provided on a one-to-one basis or together with other family members if this is needed. We provide support in the family home, the community or at your local hospice, whichever you prefer. If you would like to access this support, speak to your wellbeing team about what is available to you.
Ways we support you
Support Groups
We offer a number of bereavement support groups, which provide the opportunity to meet other families, share stories, access resources and create keepsakes.
Memory Days
We also hold memory days every year at each of our hospices, giving bereaved family members the opportunity to come together in memory of their child.
Resources for bereaved families
We have put together a page of links to other organisations who have helpful resources, helplines and even videos to help children understand loss.
