Expenses claim

Following increases in the price of fuel and the recent government announcement allowing increased tax-free mileage rates, we are pleased to share some good news for those who use their own vehicle for volunteering. From 1st June 2026, EACH will be paying the following increased mileage rate:
55p per mile for the first 10,000 miles claimed in the tax year
(the 25p rate for mileage above 10,000 miles remains the same).
This rate applies to all types of vehicles used, including electric, diesel, petrol and hybrid vehicles. We hope this 22% increase will better support the cost of using your own vehicle for volunteering.
Don’t forget using a pool car helps to keep costs down for the organisation – and when an EACH electric vehicle is used instead of a petrol or diesel car, it’s even better for the environment!
