At East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace. As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, we offer an interview to any disabled applicant who meets all of the essential criteria outlined in the person specification.

We welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Each job specification will have both essential and desirable criteria. If you do not meet the essential criteria for the role, some of which may be transferable skills, then please visit our website to sign up to job alerts or reach out to the Recruitment Team to find out about more opportunities.

Sensitive and personal information from the recruitment and selection process (name, date of birth, address, etc.,) will only be made available to those individuals who are required to have access and will not be shared with third parties, without a specific requirement to do so, and consent from the applicant (as per EACH’s recruitment policy).

The collection, processing, storage and retention of all information should be in line with current data protection laws and EACH’s privacy policy.

You are welcome to apply for more than one role and the applications will be considered separately of each other.

At EACH we believe in that having a multi-step recruitment process supports an inclusive, fair and thorough process.

If you are shortlisted you will be contacted for an initial telephone screening interview. This will be with an individual recruiting manager from EACH and will either be by telephone or prearranged on Teams.

Following this telephone screening interview, further shortlisting will be completed, and successful candidates will be invited to interview either via Teams, or face to face, depending on the role. All roles will require at least one face to face interview, and some roles will require a task or presentation.

Retail shop based roles:

In addition to the two steps listed above, if you are successfully shortlisted you will be invited to attend a final practical assessment, which for Retail Shop Managers, will include a SWOT analysis.

The first step in our recruitment process is typically a telephone screening call. This is a chance for us to assess your suitability for the role and for you to confirm your interest in the role. The call will last approximately 15-30 minutes and if you are successful, you will be invited to a second stage interview.

You will be sent an interview invite via email which will outline the date, time, location, panel members and any further details of the interviews.

The interview will include general, value, competency and role specific technical questions, for which, we will ask you to provide specific examples from your previous experience to demonstrate. For some roles we ask candidates to demonstrate their skills via a more practical assessment or presentation which reflects the criteria of the role.

If you are invited to interview we will confirm in advance what ID and documentation is required in the formal interview invite email.

If you are unsuccessful at interview, you will receive an email from us letting you know and offering the opportunity to request feedback. If you are successful at interview, the recruiting manager will call you. If they are unable to reach you, you will be emailed.

Yes, there will be an opportunity to request feedback via the Recruitment Team.

In the event you do not hear back within four weeks of the closing date, then regrettably, it will mean that you have not been successful with your application this time.

All offers of employment at EACH are conditional upon the successful completion of statutory checks, at a minimum:

• Employment references covering the last three years
• A certificate issued by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
• Documentary evidence of your right to work in the UK
