Christmas appeal
Christmas is a time when people come together.
Families want their children to enjoy life and have fun. Every young person, including those receiving hospice care, needs the same things to thrive – friendship, fun, family time, activities and laughter.
Your kind support and generosity helps us make this possible.
Connie's story
Connie has a rare and complex lung condition called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and receives care at The Nook. “The Nook is somewhere she knows and feels comfortable, which is important. When she walks in, it’s like she owns the place – like it’s her hospice.” - mum, Jane.
Abed's story
Abed's condition has not been diagnosed but he has a range of complex health needs, including the fact he cannot walk or talk. "The Treehouse is somewhere he feels included and it’s about focusing on the things he can do, rather than the things he can’t. Just because he has a disability, he should still be able to enjoy life.” - sister, Yafa
Frances' story
Frances has Muscular Dystrophy and receives care at Milton. "Frances has had the opportunity to build some brilliant relationships and fallen in love with the staff. She loves going there and sometimes I don’t even get a goodbye! That’s the way it should be and shows how comfortable she is." - mum, Michelle
