A kind-hearted clothing manufacturer has presented a belated Christmas present to charity after handing over a cheque for more than £4,500.
Halesworth-based Castle Clothing, which specialises in high-quality workwear, sold special seasonal socks as part of its TuffStuff range.
Every penny of the profit generated was donated to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and staff recently gathered to present a cheque for £4,644 to EACH Corporate Fundraiser Laura Southcott.
Managing Director Rob Ansell said: “All of us at Castle Clothing are so pleased to have been part of raising funds for EACH.
“We’d like to thank all our distributors who got behind the socks idea, helping us achieve a donation we can all be delighted with.”
Castle Clothing plan to continue supporting EACH throughout 2023 and will be headline sponsors of the charity’s 16-mile Pier 2 Pier Suffolk walk in September.
Laura said: “Our sincere thanks go to everyone at Castle Clothing.
“It was such a fun and novel idea and I really enjoyed meeting some of the team when receiving the cheque.
“It’s an amazing amount of money and I look forward to working with them again throughout the year.”
EACH, which supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, has three hospices – The Nook, near Norwich, The Treehouse, in Ipswich, and at Milton, near Cambridge.
