EACH is moving ever closer to completing the nook appeal after an allocation of £500,000 towards it by Norfolk County Council.
The nook total now stands at £7,808,703.
Last month, the council agreed to invest the money from its capital programme, which is funded by grants, sales of land and property, plus prudential borrowing. The capital budget is managed separately from the revenue budget, which funds the council’s services and running costs.
Cllr Cliff Jordan, who leads the council, is to be shown what progress has been made on building of the nook – work got under way in November – on Thursday 8th March.
Cllr Jordan said: “I said I would care for the county and that’s why I thought we should invest in this valuable hospice, which supports the most vulnerable children. I look forward to visiting it when it is completed.”
