Financial Firm Fundraises for the nook

Financial Firm Fundraises for the nook

Aug 05, 2015

East Anglian company ML Financial Associates has become the latest business to offer their support for the nook appeal which aims to raise £10 million to build a new purpose-built children’s hospice in the heart of Norfolk

ML Financial Associates, independent financial advisors with offices in both Wymondham and Northampton, who offer the full range of financial services to both individuals and companies across the East Anglian region have joined forces with EACH by signing up to their new corporate scheme the nook business network.

ML are conscious of the role that local business plays within the community that they reside in, which in this case, is the same community that EACH supports local life threatened children and their families and it is this reason that the Directors of ML have decided to support the appeal.  Not only will ML look to raise significant funds to help make the new children’s hospice a reality they will also look to promote the appeal and create awareness amongst their client base to encourage further support.

Simon Lister, Director, ML Financial Associates, said: We have offices in Wymondham and Northampton and see the great work that EACH does and is a charity that is close to our hearts.  We feel our business is a perfect fit with the charity which offers vital care and support to families across the region.  We’re dedicated to helping EACH achieve their goal to build the nook and make a real difference to peoples lives.

Gary Cook, the nook appeal corporate fundraiser, said: “ I’m delighted that Simon, David, Craig and their team have chosen to support our nook appeal for a new children’s hospice which will really benefit local families going through an unimaginably difficult time in their lives.
We need the support of all sectors of the Norfolk community – individuals, schools, community groups and of course the business sector to achieve our fundraising target , so ML’s support is fantastic.  We have worked with the team at ML previously and I am in doubt that their enthusiasm, forward thinking,  creative, can-do approach will see them not only achieve but better their target and we very much look forward to working with them moving forwards."

  • It’s been a great opportunity to meet other parents in a similar situation, something that doesn't really happen anywhere else. Helen, William’s mum
  • I really love going to the hospice. I’ve made friends there and get to do loads of fun stuff. Renee
  • EACH helps us to create lovely memories and has played an important part in all of our lives, not just Lucy’s. Heather, Lucy’s mum
  • Children like Lucy don’t get the opportunity to go to sleepovers or to their friends for tea, so the interaction she has at the hospice is priceless. Heather, Lucy’s mum
  • Renee loves going to The Treehouse, but it’s great that care staff are also able to visit us at home too. Stacy, Renee’s mum
  • We are also supported by the 24/7 True Colours nurses and it’s so reassuring knowing we can call on them whenever we need support or advice Helen, William’s mum
  • EACH has helped us keep Stanley’s memory alive. And allows us to look to the future Brad, Stanley's Dad
  • We arrived at the hospice feeling scared and alone. We had so many questions – they answered them all and more. Claire, Jacob’s mum
  • The play specialists are excellent and I also get inspiration from the activities they organise. Heather, Lucy’s mum
  • I didn’t realise hope was a gift until I became a mum. My little boy taught me many things and that was one of them Claire, Jacob’s mum

  • EACH helped us with coping mechanisms and special ways of remembering Stanley. Brad, Stanley's Dad
  • EACH supports families when they’re at their absolute lowest, helping them to come to terms with their child’s illness, losing them and beyond Brad, Stanley's Dad
  • I can’t imagine what it would have been like. Nobody should have to, every family should be offered the support we were, and are still getting Claire, Jacob’s mum
