School choirs from across Suffolk will compete to be crowned inaugural winner of the Great EACH Choir Off next month.
Among schools taking part in the competition are Finborough, St Edmund’s Catholic Primary and St Mary’s C of E Academy.
They will be judged by a specialist panel including identical twin sopranos Naomi and Hannah Moxon, better known as Classical Reflection from TV talent show The Voice.
The event will take place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, in Bury’s Angel Hill, between 7pm and 9pm on Saturday, 24 February.
Natasha Brame says: “This is going to be a fantastic opportunity for all schools involved and I’m sure a great night of entertainment for everyone in and around Bury St Edmunds to enjoy.
“In addition to the music we’ll be running a raffle and cake sale, so please do come along and support our choirs if you can. The money raised from ticket sales will help us at EACH continue providing care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Suffolk and the rest of East Anglia, as well as support for their families.”
Cathedral doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are £10 and must be bought before 3pm on Monday, 19 February at www.each.org.uk.
