Members of 663 Squadron, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps have visited The Treehouse ahead of running the Colchester Half Marathon in March.
The servicemen and women from Wattisham Airfield had a tour of the hospice.
A total of 37 will take on the Colchester Half Marathon in March to raise money for the charity.
Shaun, a Squadron Staff Sergeant, says: “Our visit to EACH’s Treehouse has been a humbling experience, being able to see such an amazing facility staffed by some truly exceptional people providing much-needed care and support for families. We’re proud to have so many members of the squadron group not only volunteer to run the Colchester Half Marathon, but also support the event in other ways to raise money and awareness for such a worthy cause.”
Shaun will be supporting us by running the Barcelona Marathon just two weeks before the Colchester Half Marathon, too.
Natasha Brame says: “It was fantastic to have so many servicemen and women from Wattisham Airfield visit us for a tour of The Treehouse. We’re really looking forward to cheering them on at the Colchester Half Marathon and encourage anyone else with a place to consider running for EACH.”
