Business to Business event
Wymondham fabrication company Pruce Newman raised £4,500 for the nook appeal at a karting event at Ellough Raceway on 6th July.
Sponsored by Mackinnon Construction, the two-hour endurance event featured eleven corporate teams. This event was a fantastic way to get their clients and customers involved in fundraising and improve awareness of the nook appeal.
As well as karting there was a raffle, BBQ and prize ceremony, with Team Tyco taking first place through some skilful driving and an effective pit-stop strategy.
Pruce Newman is already a supporter of EACH but this year has made a commitment to focus on the nook appeal until December 2018, pledging to raise a minimum of £10,000.
Graham Newman, Managing Director, says: "We had a fantastic evening racing for the nook appeal and I'm delighted we managed to raise such a large amount of money. We’re proud to be supporters of the nook appeal but we couldn’t have done this without the participation and generosity of our friends and customers from across the region. Some teams took it more seriously than others but it was all in good spirit, and it was great to see teams entered from companies such as Briar Chemicals, Norwich Airport, PPG and Tyco.”
Pruce Newman is a pipework and steelwork fabrication and installation company. Established in 1970, this second-generation family business employs 120 people in the East of England and provides services to some of the region’s largest companies in the food processing, energy and chemical sectors.
