We have been supporting EACH for 19 years in the form of an annual grant. The excellent specialist care and facilities that EACH provides families and young children across three hospice sites is truly inspiring and humbling. EACH is at the forefront of innovation and new developments, but all this is managed gently within a very comfortable and homely environment - the child and family always the centre of importance. It is an absolute honour for this Foundation to be a very small part of this excellence.
- The John and Lucille van Geest Foundation trustees
Every year the funding that EACH receives from charitable trusts and foundations is vital in enabling us to sustain the highest quality of care for children, young people and their families and to ensure that we are able to develop new resources when needed.
Recent major projects include the successful completion of our new ‘Treehouse hospice’ for Suffolk and North Essex in Ipswich, the extension of facilities at our Quidenham hospice in Norfolk, and the current refurbishment of our Cambridge site, including a substantial new outdoor play area.
It is really important to us to keep all of our Trust supporters updated on progress at EACH and any specific project they are funding, and are proud of the strong partnerships we have established with many Trusts over a number of years. On behalf of all the children, young people and their families cared for by EACH we thank you all.
If you belong to a Trust or Foundation and you’re interested in finding out more about our charity’s latest projects and funding needs, or in visiting one of our hospices to learn more at first-hand, please do get in touch.
Further comments from our Trust and Foundation supporters
Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust
"The Trust was very pleased to support the important initiative by EACH to build The Treehouse hospice. The project was a good fit with our grant making priorities and the charity’s successful track record made the Trust confident that its funds would be used productively for the public benefit. The splendid new hospice – built on time and to budget – provides a striking example of a well-managed project. The welcoming building and magical gardens complement perfectly the excellent care given to children and their families. Unquestionably The Treehouse will provide an invaluable service for its community."
Magic Moments Children’s Charity
"Magic Moments has been delighted to support EACH over the last 12 years with donations to support ongoing development of care for the children, funding to organise special visits to Disneyland Paris and other locations, and granting specific wishes to children and families to bring a smile in otherwise tough times. During 2011 the charity was proud to provide a specific donation to help EACH establish its new Treehouse hospice in Ipswich. Since Magic Moments re-launch in 2010 from its former name, the Fantasy Charity Fund, we have seen massive growth in our fundraising through the support of Spicerhaart and are looking forward to increased support of EACH and other hospices in the years ahead."
The Childwick Trust
The Childwick Trust has been supporting EACH on a regular basis since 1992 with almost yearly donations to help fund running costs and equipment and more recently towards the new Treehouse hospice. We have undertaken several visits and have always come away inspired by the excellent care and support that is offered to the children and their families. The staff operate in a difficult environment but they strive to make it a positive and happy place to be. We wish all concerned the very best for the new hospice which is a wonderful asset for the area.
