Families came together for a day of rainbow-themed fun at the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) base in Norfolk.
Sixty-five children and family members attended the annual get-together at The Nook, in Framingham Earl.
The fun day proved a huge success, with highlights including listening and dancing to music from the ‘Spangle Band’, in addition to a meet-and-greet with Jack the Shetland Pony. Families tucked into a barbecue and the theme for the day was ‘Nature’s Rainbow’. This included rainbow cakes and families had the chance to take part in a number of activities, including making miniature gardens and printing t-shirts with leaves and flowers.
“It was a fantastic, happy and memorable occasion and there were smiling faces everywhere you looked,” said EACH Groups and Events Co-ordinator Nikki Ross. “The families had a great time and there was so much to do. I don’t think they wanted to leave at the end of the afternoon.”
The day was made possible thanks to the support of ten dedicated volunteers.
“A huge thank you goes to those amazing people,” added Nikki. “Their work ethic and ‘let’s get it done’ attitude is remarkable and nothing is too much trouble.”
