Norfolk Constabulary got well into the festive spirit to top up its fundraising for the nook appeal.
Police officers had already given EACH £2,554 after a bumper raffle and bake sale earlier in 2018.
Inspector Jerry Wright decided they could do more, though, and messaged round everyone working in the Contact and Control Room in Wymondham.
He says: “I started to think about all the Secret Santas that are organised and suggested that instead of or as well as a Secret Santa people could donate £10 to the nook appeal.
“Christmas means many things to many people; for some a genuine religious festival, for some time with family and friends, and for buying and receiving gifts. Hopefully it also means thinking of other people and doing something to help.”
Inspector Wright was joined by more than 40 colleagues in donating at least £10 and a total of £445 was collected.
