A Norwich-based company which aims to ‘inspire people and exceed expectations’ is showing it can do just that by supporting EACH.
Bateman Groundworks, a leading supplier of roads, sewers and groundworks to national and regional developers and contractors, signed up as part of the charity’s nook business network in October 2016.
Bateman Groundworks has agreed to contribute £25,000 and staff will raise some of that by taking part in EACH’s revamped Ride for Life over three days between Friday, 29 September and Sunday, 1 October.
A new route will see the most adventurous participants cycle 200 miles across three counties, taking in the charity’s hospices at Quidenham, The Treehouse in Ipswich and Milton in Cambridgeshire.
Bateman Groundworks will also be headline sponsor of EACH’s new Norfolk fundraising event - Heroic, a 5km obstacle course at Old Buckenham Airfield this Saturday (23 September) - to ensure its success, providing use of its equipment on the day and a team.
It is headline sponsor of EACH’s Making Memories 2018 calendar, too, which has just gone on sale across the region.
In addition, Bateman Groundworks lent its support to the Barnard Charity Golf Day, in aid of EACH, at Bawburgh Golf Club earlier this year.
The company was established in Great Yarmouth in 1997, moving to its current base in Little Plumstead in February this year. It employs over 170 people and has an annual turnover in excess of £16 million.
Richard Bateman, Founder and Managing Director, said: “EACH is a fantastic charity that not only offers care and support for children and young people but for their families, too. We’re proud to be supporting it by helping raise much-needed funds to make the nook a reality. Building the nook will help EACH meet the increasing demand for its services.”
