Offers of short breaks by EACH

To improve the planning of short breaks we are now asking you to respond by accepting or declining an offer within 10 days. If we do not receive a reply, we will assume it is unsuitable and will offer the booking to another family. This will not affect your allocation.

To accept or decline your booking please email eachmiltonbookings@each.org.uk or call 01223 815111 where you can leave a message; or return the reply slip which is at the bottom of the bookings letter.

More and more families are managing their short break bookings via email. If you do not already receive short break offers by email and would like to please let us know by contacting eachmiltonbookings@each.org.uk  

Family requests for bookings

You can request dates for short breaks in advance and wherever possible we will try to provide these. There is always a high demand for weekends and school holidays, therefore it may not always be possible to meet requests for these times. We will confirm your requests as soon as possible. You can have up to two requested stays booked at any one time.

Short break reminders

We now send you a text message two weeks before each stay. This will be followed by the usual  phone call one week before your stay to confirm arrival time.

Why you need alternative care in place for all short breaks

It is essential that you have alternative arrangements in place for the care of your child during all short breaks in case of emergencies at the hospice. In the unlikely event of an emergency – such as a major utility failure – it may be necessary to close the hospice completely and the children/young people  resident would have to go home. We will be asking you to tell us your alternative care arrangements in case of an emergency when we call to confirm the arrival time for your stay.
