Travellers have the chance to support a leading children’s charity when taking a well-earned break in East Anglia.
Fairbnb.coop, a tourism and home-sharing platform, is directing 50% of its booking commission to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
The charity, which supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, will receive money every time a customer books a holiday home, guesthouse, pub with a room, hotel or other kind of accommodation in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Fairbnb.coop is inspired by social sustainability, circular economy and fair trade. It has community projects across the country, with 50% of all booking commissions being directed to a worthy cause in the host area – in this case EACH.
Fairbnb.coop UK Community Coordinator and Local Ambassador for Essex and Suffolk, Rebecca Wiles said: “In a world driven by money and profits, we’re honing in on what matters – doing what’s best for the people, their wellbeing and the community, visitors and locals alike.
“I was born in Ipswich, minutes from The Treehouse, and am also an Ipswich Town supporter. I used to see the EACH logo week-in, week-out on the team’s kit when watching matches at Portman Road.
“Leading Fairbnb.coop, I now have a remarkable opportunity to give back to this outstanding local charity. Our partnership is my proudest moment yet and I couldn’t be happier that EACH is supporting the change for transforming how we do tourism in East Anglia.”

EACH Corporate Fundraising Manager Caroline Allen said: “We’re delighted to be a chosen community partner of Fairbnb.coop.
“It gives travellers the chance to enjoy our beautiful part of the world, while at the same time raising vital funds – funds that will help us continue our work caring for and supporting for children, young people and families.
“It’s a fantastic initiative and could be especially useful for anyone paying a visit for one of our fantastic fundraising events in 2023, especially our Ride for Life cycle challenge in September.”
