More volunteers are needed to help out at our popular charity shop in Leiston.
Our store is in Sizewell Road and open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Shop Manager Tom Herbert is keen to hear from anyone who might be interested in joining his team and supporting the cause.
He said: “We could definitely do with extra help as we’re a bit thin on the ground at the moment.
“It’s difficult because we’re one of four charity shops in a small place, so there aren’t lots of people to call on.
“However, anyone who steps forward and joins us will be made to feel most welcome.
“A lot of people have lived here for a long time and know each other well, so it’s a very friendly atmosphere.”
Tom has been Shop Manager for five years, since the Leiston shop opened in 2016.
“We’re a two-storey shop and have cover in terms of our downstairs till,” he added.
“What we could really do with is someone to help with sorting, pricing and steaming clothes upstairs. That would make a huge difference and help so much.
“Volunteering doesn’t have to be a big commitment.
“Anything helps, even if it’s just a couple of hours a week, and we’d be so pleased to hear from anyone.
“All the money raised in our shops goes towards our vital care services.”
EACH has developed a thriving retail sector which is an essential funding stream to keep care services running.
